These load table figures are expressed in "psf" pounds per square foot. Pallet Rack Decking
    Based on uniform load distribution. Figures below are pounds per sq. ft. based on stress of 20,000psi.

    How to calculate, for example:
    48" deep x 108" wide rack bay.
     1.) 48" x 108" = 5,184" ÷ 144 = 36 sq. feet
     2.) Box Rib 22ga. @ 48" = 210 lbs. Psf. (see table below)
     3.) 210 psf x 36 sq. ft. = 7,560 lbs. Capacity per level.

Mezzanine Decking

NOTE: The longer unsupported span the greater the deflection and thus a decreasing load carrying capacity. When a single panel can span more openings (with less seams), the greater the panel capacity (see below). Typically a 12 ft. panel (to cover 3 x4 ft. openings) would be provided in 12 ft. 3" for overlapping purposes.
